Stormwater tanks

Stormwater tanks

SPARKLE | WATER inground polyethylene tanks, access covers and accessories have been in use for many years and have led the industry for structural and functional design. The integrated features and modular capability are unmatched where each tank assembly can be applied for any fluid application from harvesting to stormwater flow treatment devices to sewage management facilities for domestic, municipal and industrial applications as mix and match to specifications and performance criteria needed by clients. Regulation specification(s) are the responsibility of the licenced installation contractor that must be specified in a purchase order for goods and configuration as the purchasers sole responsibility on order of product so it is recommended that independent advice from a suitably qualified engineer or regulatory authority be obtained for your application. The flexibility of the SPARKLE | WATER tank range also allows a suitably qualified engineer to adapt some product application for enhanced usage or any cut-outs as required that are otherwise beyond warranty provisions of the product supplied.

Component(s) of the selected product mix have been tested with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to ensure their long term performance and stability to the specification equivalent to loading for AS/NZS 1546 part 1:2008. The structural design and material properties of the tanks specifications incorporate enhanced medium density polyethylene (MDPE) that provides an inert storage vessel with weight reduction and effective anchoring options for improved performance and ensures ease of inground installation. Our installation backfill profiles and installation instructions for the SPARKLE | WATER tank range in virgin soils in undisturbed ground conditions are engineered for BPM are to be carried out for each installation. Excavated stone and clays, building waste and wet concrete backfill is not recommended and will void any warranty on any product. Typically clean 10mm graded pea gravel or similar not exceeding SG 1.4 must be used for backfill to drain an excavation without a suitably qualified engineer detail that may usually be needed in unstable or water charged ground. SPARKLE | WATER has provision for bottom reflux valve and duck-bill anchoring option for high water table applications as a specialist product for these challenged applications as a part of the flexibility of the Ecovault tank design.

The many advantages of using SPARKLE | WATER tank devices is low cost of product, low cost of transport, low cost of installation and reduced time of open excavations around building sites for safety and weather interruptions, plant and labour challenges, building schedules all combine to offer the benefits of speed of installation and lowest cost of use of inground facilities.

The Ecovault tank range provides industry leading configurations including restriction options for safe work and child barriers, key lockable light weight access covers, multiple interconnection options designed to help improve application safety when installation procedures are followed for whichever tank configuration is selected. The SPARKLE | WATER are modular and can accommodate many convenient accessories allowing the flexibility of SPARKLE | WATER storage and process solutions to meet site specifications, improve handling and flexibility of installation and drainage connections that lead the industry.

  2. ECOV 8,000 litre inground tank - 900 x 600 mm access opening

    Retail Price: $8,247.80

The Ecovault inground tank range is a fully functional inert polyethylene (PE) structural tank according to the design specification for AS1546.  The inclusions incorporate smooth frictionless internal surfaces; the tank provides safety in handling, with lifting and rolling easily achieved without specialist equipment, tank access with ladder and external grab frame,  standard 600mm x 900mm access opening, site installation with ease of levelling and inter-connections of multiple tanks in series or parallel.  Manhandable, releasable and lockable PE lid with access barriers on lid open and the most convenient multiple pipe and invert level connection configuration.  The Ecov range of tanks also have the ability to apply reflux valve inlet at the base and full drain weapage for infiltration.

The Ecov8 is nominally 8000 litre capacity to the top of the vertical wall.  The external size is 2300mm x 2300mm x 2950mm depth. See installation instructions for pipe connections, tank interconnections for multiple tanks in clusters, backfill and loading conditions.  The tank can be used in high water table applications with appropriate backfill with or without composite concrete balast or using anchor attachments- equally or better than concrete pits.

SG 1.3, buckling factor of 3.9, factor of safety 1.6, 420kg bare tank, hydrostatic uplift anchor ribs, fully sealed to accessway.

The job is normally done as soon as the tank goes in the ground.
