Sewage

All sewerage equipment is sold as industrial equipment purchased by licenced commercial trades, civil contractors or government (business ABN holder) to a written requested specification for configuration for any installation.

Our sewage product group includes Aerated Wastewater Treatment Systems (AWTS), Low-pressure Sewage Pump out System (LPS) and Sewage Collection Wells (SCW) that are designed to efficiently process sewage waste for varied applications and situations.

AWTS's deliver on-site sewage management for smaller capacity domestic, small community treatment or animal farm waste. AWTS's are utilised in stand-alone or isolated sewerage systems often in rural and semi-rural locations. Such systems also provide protection from raw sewage discharge to the environment and living areas.

What is an on-site sewage management system?

An on-site sewage management system is the process used to treat domestic sewage and may include a septic tank, an aerated waste treatment system or composting system. The treated product, being referred to as effluent, is then gravity-fed or pumped to an effluent disposal area. The effluent is disposed of either by direct absorption into the land, irrigated onto the land or directed to a holding well to be collected by a tanker.

If you are proposing to build on land that cannot be connected to a reticulated sewerage system it will be necessary for you install an on-site sewage management system. Calculations are to be provided confirming the adequacy of the disposal area for local regulatory approvals.

LPS's are nominally 1100 liter in-ground tanks packaged with a positive displacement grinder pump or vacuum system connected to a regional area sewerage system. These regional system use a pressure pipe network connecting a large number of houses (that cannot be serviced by a gravity system) to a smaller local treatment plant. SCW's we offer are used when sewage needs to be collected and transferred to a higher level for processing, tanker removal or discharge into a sewer main. Local regulations may specify various vessel capacities that you need to specify which may range from 100 liters up to 5,500 liters and can be fitted with single or dual effluent or grinder (macerator type) lift pumps.

The type of system that will be most suitable for your property will depend on a number of factors. Site characteristics including soil type, soil depth, slope, proximity to water and water balance will determine the most appropriate type of on-site sewage management system for your land.
