A Gross Pollutant Trap (GPT) is an on-line end-of-pipe treatment device that separates the larger pollutants such as organics, sticks, leaves, and general refuse from the stormwater flow and holds them for later removal during general maintenance operations.

A GPT performs a supportive role in effective stormwater treatment and can help improve water quality so that it can undergo further processing prior to being piped into storage for later use or released into the environment.

A Gross Pollutant Trap (GPT) is a necessary element of an efficient stormwater management system. The GPT separates larger pollutants such as sticks. leaves, and general refuse from the stormwater flow and holds them for later removal during maintenance operations..

The STORM_gpt is a flexible and efficient Stormwater Quality Improvement Device (SQID) that avoids larger macro systems that hold substantial contamination of a broad catchment that are also prone to bypass overflows and other contributing contamination activities. The STORM_gpt has convenient size options (see STORM_gpt 8000) including interconnection.

The STORM_gpt is a full flow device that can be used upstream in the treatment process or implemented in distributed areas that economically separate the catchment into segregated zones with inherently different contamination potentials. The STORM_gpt can be joined in series or parallel for design planning flexibility and for future expansion of systems.
