City Water is piped in from rivers and dams that are often hundreds of kilometres from where it is needed. This process is energy intensive and requires substantial infrastructure investment and ongoing maintenance. City water delivery also has many negative environmental impacts while billions of litres of rainwater falls on our cities to simply wash down the drain.
