Sewage Pump Station

Sewage Pump Station

All sewerage equipment is sold as industrial equipment purchased by licenced commercial trades, civil contractors or government (business ABN holder) to a written requested specification for configuration for any installation.

Sewage lifting stations can be considered as two types which have different applications. These differences refer to the discharge needs relating to whether it is a pressure sewer or a non-pressure sewer. Low-pressure sewage pump station (LSPS) systems make use of a distributed, wide area sewage drainage network made up of a large number of houses connected to a pressure pipe system or a vacuum pipe system. These systems are used in regions where it is not possible or economically feasible to install a gravitational sewerage pipe system that does not rely on mechanical devices to move the sewerage to a treatment plant.

LSPS are normally installed by the water authority for the region or a housing estate developer and has the advantage of being a fully monitored network system. Examples of these application include greenfield estates developments, tidal or canal housing estates, water logged areas with high water table, steep and undulating countryside or long low-lying flat terrain to a regional STP etc.

The most common pressure pipe systems use a small but deeper in-ground tank fitted with a positive displacement submersible pump and small diameter pressure pipe laid in-ground to simply follow the contour of the land. Each house is connected to the network that delivers the raw sewage to a local small sewerage treatment plant for processing.

The alternate lifting station type is generally for a local application where sewage has to be lifted to a higher level gravity sewer, a higher level treatment device such as an AWTS or an application that does not have drainage pipe access that can be economically or practically installed.
