The STORM_save polyethylene access collar is designed for light commercial and passenger vehicle traffic single wheel load only. The collar is a round shaped LDPE polyethylene access cover and is designed to fit all STORM products with a 680mm diameter clear access. The collar has a load foot for multiple engineering surface finish and accessway secures a lockable pedestrian-trafficable cover fits into a matching recess in the tank collar to provide and even surface across the top of the tank- lid only loading of 10000N.

For Augmented Class A+ the additional loading can be achieved through special order for the following:

The safety bar assembly is an optional extra product at the buyers cost. The bar assembly will bridge across the collar as a second line of access prevention to restrict accidental entry into the sieve chamber in the event that the cover is damaged or removed. When the bars are correctly anchored to the collar assembly they provide additional support for the lid.

Our access cover is designed to meet the functional aspects of structural top loads across the access opening as well as other access features to make the below ground device secure from its housing collar. 

The Access cover has a three point securing design and key tool lifting position ensuring that the access cover cannot be removed without utilising the key tool in normal circumstances.  This includes where the underground drainage may incur back-pressure from an over-charged event like in a flooding situation so the public safety is catered for and the drainage cannot surcharge out of the device at this capture point. 

The lock design ensures the key can not be removed from the cover unless the locking slide is in the locked position.

The polyethylene (PE) covers and fabricated metal plate covers (AL) are latchable using a single key tool.  The key tool is a proprietary design that is only made available to municipal and civil contractors.

The riser allows compatible STORM devices to be installed deeper into the ground than their nominal design depth. The riser fits securely on the tank and will accept either another riser, or the tank collar. Up to 3 risers can be used on a single device, which permits an additional 1.5m of installation depth to be achieved.
